On the third weekend of August each year, Margo and Fraser Neilson, hold a Charity Open Weekend in their garden.

Each year, two charities benefit from the fundraising event, the criteria being that the charities must be local (Glasgow), or national, with a local connection. The Trust was nominated by Margaret Hislop, great aunt to 18 month old, Will, who has myotubular myopathy. We are incredibly grateful to Margo and Fraser for selecting the Trust as one of the two charities that benefited hugely this year.

And so, on the 14th and 15th August, a stream of visitors came to experience the magnificent home baking and to view the wonderful garden railway display, with special illuminations on offer for those who attended on the Saturday evening.

The event was a great success raising £900 for the two charities and we would like to extend our warmest thanks to all involved.
