Nathaniel's dad Jonathan wins the 'Golden Boot' award

We would like to thank ‘Cardiff Myotubular Trust’ football squad who played and won in a recent football tournament, raising awareness of the Trust and in memory of Jonathan Jenkin's eldest son, Nathaniel, who was born with the rare genetic condition, myotubular myopathy but very sadly died shortly before his first birthday.

The six-a-side tournament, which has been running for 14 years, was sponsored by Unlimited, a charity for men’s health which encourages men to talk about other charities that they have used or helped and their reasons for doing so.

Eight teams entered the tournament with all teams playing each other during the course of the day.

We are delighted to report that ‘Cardiff Myotubular Trust’ won the site trophy and furthermore that Jonathan Jenkins won the 'Golden Boot' award having scored 12 goals in total - 4 goals ahead of the next best top scorers from Team Telford and Team Solihull. Congratulations Jonathan! To see all the team's scores click here (Excel document).
