Hornsby House Venetian Masked Ball |

240 guests attended the Hornsby House School Venetian Masked Ball that took place on Saturday 3 rd July, sporting an array of masks from the exquisite to a gas mask! The ball is held once every four years and two charities are nominated and voted for by the parents of students at the school to benefit from the event. The Trust is delighted to have been selected as one of the chosen charities along with The Jennifer Trust for Spinal Muscular Astrophy. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Angela Newman , Serita Sleep and the many other parents were involved in making the evening such a tremendous success. Guests were treated to relaxing music from a quartet during the early part of the evening whilst enjoying a champagne reception in the evening sunlight. A sumptuous sit down meal was served in a room that was beautifully decorated with a stunning array of masks which were hand made by a group of incredibly artistic parents. Then, after a fun game of ‘heads and tails’ guests were able to partake in both a silent auction and bidding auction, for some amazing items and packages that were so generously donated, with Chris Hanage doing a great job as the event auctioneer. And finally, the fantastic cocktail bar opened and the guests took to the dance floor to enjoy the remainder of the evening. Local photographer, Mark Anderson, supported the event by taking some amazing photos. To view these and to place an order, please visit http://www.everybodysmile.biz/artefotografica/event.html. Our thanks go to Mark who is donating all profits from the sale of the photos taken at the ball to the Myotubular Trust and The Jennifer Trust. The event raised an absolutely amazing £22,429, half of which is being donated to the Trust. Thank you to the organisers and guests for your wonderful support.
